This is my dream vintage shop. From the outside it looks like just a regular vintage shops with a lot of colorful clothes and accessories, but what you don’t see from the outside is the hidden gem downstairs. Here you will find a world of vintage party frocks, cocktail dresses and evening gowns. I visited the shop two times the last 4 years; first time I got a beautiful sparkling cocktail dress from the 70’s, second time I got a royal blue silk evening gown from the 30’s. I absolutely love them! Laura Dols also features vintage wedding dresses and accessories, as well as men’s suits, evening wear and costumes.

Going to a 80s party or a fancy carnival? Stop by Time Machine to pick up something smashing to wear. Time Machine also offers regular vintage like jeans, shirts and outwear, but I find their 70s and 80s styles the most fun – definitely worth the visit.

For the proper vintage experience, you should pop by Bis. This shop is divided into three separate shops; men, women and military clothing. But I find that as a woman, it’s just as interesting to browse in the men shop. The men shop offers a great collection of vintage suits, so make sure you have enough time when you visit to browse through them all. Bis also offers professional service, so if you are looking for something particular or just want help finding the right fit, this is the place to go.

Marbles Vintage has three shops in Amsterdam and is a place to visit if you’re looking for daily vintage wear. You can find the perfect Levis jeans, or a warm, fuzzy coat for the winter. They also offer a good selection of accessories from shoes to gloves, and of course the great sixpence.

Episode is one of the largest vintage clothing stores in Amsterdam, and they have four shops in the city. Browse through a huge variety of vintage clothing for both men and women. I find that Episode is a place to visit if you’re looking for something specific, cause the place always gets packed and it can be a bit chaotic. But definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a new vintage gem to take home.

Even though Neef Louis is located a bit from the city center, you should take the trip if vintage furniture is what you’re looking for. Neef Louis can be found in an old shed in Amsterdam North – this is a real house of antiques. Make sure you wear warm clothes and have plenty of time because this place is packed with everything you can think of. The perfect place for a vintage treasure hunt.

If you take the trip and visit Neef Louis, you should combine it with a visit to Van Dijk & Ko. This places offers the large furnitures like sofas, cabinets, tables and chairs, as well as everything in between.
