....a new day begins around 7:30, with a calm, nat

....a new day begins around 7:30, with a calm, natural awakening to the ήλιος «sun» rising over the hill behind our house. starting the day with a meditative and contemplative practice, accompanied with 4 hours of Γραφή «writing». around noon ish its time for a refreshing swim + D, and breakfast; a bowl of greek yoghurt, fresh fruits, nuts, samos honey, & of course, more coffee. newly refreshed, ready for the next session; about 2 hours of φιλοσοφία «philia-sophia» fellowship practice, which has induced ροή «flow» every time. such a wonderful experience. the afternoon holds either a greek language session, painting or my own reading, at the moment «plato’s critic of impure reason». then a little snack; fruits or maybe σάμος τηγανίτες "pai from samos». about an hour before sunset, a work out either āḗr χορός «wind dance» with aegean view, or running the immensely steep hill behind our house. just in time for η δυση του ηλιου «sunset», a refreshing swim, followed by a sunset snuggle with my @olabrandsrud and our little kitty. when the sun sets, i continue my Γραφή «writing» for about 2 hours, sometimes down by the water with the natural light from the φεγγάρι «moon». later in the evening, we make dinner; cooking some of our garden vegetables, with salad and tzatziki, of course accompanied with local κρασί «wine». our dinner entails long συνομιλία «conversations» about our day, what we are grateful for, and always a lot of laughs. we close the night with a game of backgammon which ends in a celebration dance (almost always by me : ) as fromm wrote in "the art of loving", when you properly concentrate during the day, your sleepiness will naturally kick in when its suppose to. well before midnight, we fall asleep to the sound of waves, the «σεληνόφωτο» moonlight shining light over the bustling θάλασσα «sea», a feeling of tranquility, and a χαμόγελο «smile», knowing that the cycle resumes tomorrow......
